Here are five more to contemplate.
1. A warm shower on a cold morning to get the blood flowing.
2. Having every dish in the house clean and put away.
3. Having every piece of clothing in the house clean and put away.
4. Watching a favorite movie on the couch with the family.
5. Listening to my teenage son read aloud passages from the sports statistics book I have just given him.
What makes you happy?

Clean dishes and clothes also make me happy. My three daughters also make me happy π

π Our kids go straight to the top of every list, don’t they?

I agree with you, when all clothes are on the right place, I feel good . And I like the first minutes of every morning, when I’m the only one in my kitchen. Just me and a cup of coffee :o)

Something about having everything in its place, even if only for a short while, is comforting.

Favorite time of my day too. The silence of very early morning at dawn with my coffee looking out my garden window.

Listening to the teens in my life tell me funny stories (my own and their friends.) And all stories they tell are funny. Spring bulbs. Finishing a story or blog post. A walk with the cats and dog. A nice bottle of wine with my husband. Nothing too complicated – it is those little things that make the smiles.

These are all wonderful pleasures, but how do you walk with cats? π
December 2, 2013 at 4:04 pm
I walk the dog and the cats run along behind us!

Mind blowing. Mine would have headed for the hills. Come to think of it, the dog would too, if not for her leash.

Right now, Crossing jobs off the work list, getting closer to staycation. Reading in a very hot tub. (Have never dropped a book in!) Meals out in restaurants and coffee klatches at my favourite cafΓ©.

Sounds like a very good life, indeed. π
