We’ve reached the end of day two of our four day, three generation road trip. So far, so good.
Naturally Mom found a friend of a friend from back home in the museum gift shop. I swear, she knows people everywhere.
Son surprised everyone by ordering oysters for dinner. I’m not a fan of those slimy little goobers, but he enjoyed them.
We cruised around town today in our nifty little golf cart, learning about the history of this former mining town from our expert driver and guide.Tomorrow we’ll take the mine tour.
It’s fun to be a tourist, and it’s good to spend time with family, but I kind of miss my bed.

We’ve opened gifts, enjoyed delicious appetizers that my son made, and my sweetheart whipped up a batch of fudge. We’ve also been cleaning up around the house, anticipating my mother’s visit later in the day. It’s been fun, relaxed, and all around a darn good day.
