There are many forces of wisdom at play in the universe. I want to share with you some of what I’ve learned over the years. Naturally I have to do it on Wednesdays, because who doesn’t love alliteration?
Words of Wisdom
Everything is better with peanut butter.
Who said it
Lila the wonder dog, although she didn’t technically “say” it, but I know she thinks it.
What it means to me
It’s the little extras in life that make it more interesting and exciting and enjoyable. It’s the whipped cream on the frappucino, the hot fudge on the sundae, and the meatball on the spaghetti. All of those things are good without the extras, but the extras take them over the top. Don’t just go to the Grand Canyon, take a hike there. Don’t just go to the beach, splash in the ocean. Don’t forget to add the peanut butter into your life from time to time.

Very wise, indeed. This goes along with something I try to live by: don’t just do something to get it done; enjoy doing it.

Loving the Wednesday Wisdom! It reminds me that on Monday I made a throw everything in together chocolate cake to take to the hospital for a relative’s birthday (he’s 66 and had broken his leg) and not content with that I wondered what I could add to give it something extra. A hint of peppermint essence in the chocolate icing would do the trick I decided and then I forgot about it. One by one, all those in the hospital room began to note that the icing was yummy … minty one said. Another said ‘peppermint!’ Well, that made everyone’s day and it made me feel so good too. Everybody wins when you do something extra! Tess

What a lovely way to celebrate his birthday. Too bad it was in the hospital. It’s so good to hear from you, Tess. 🙂
