Who Chooses Whether We Are Beautiful?

I recently found this post on Family Love Does More. The video is powerful and Angie’s post is worth a read.

I'm a middle aged woman doing the things that middle aged women do and trying not to beat myself up. I'm living the life I choose with the man I love, the grown up son who impresses me all the time, and the most adorable pup ever rescued from the euthanasia list. We live in the heat of the Southwest, where I regularly sweat through my Lane Bryant bras.

  1. Thanks. I “saw” the video as my husband watched it and described it to me. He thinks I’m beautiful. I have a little more ambivalence about it … have written about this as well… I actually wrote this about 3 years ago, posted it in wordpress a year and a half ago.

  2. One more comment — this evening my daughter added a new profile picture of herself in facebook. Visible at the neckline is the IV port she has installed in her chest. She chooses beautiful…

  3. Why hello there, Heidi! Thank you so very much for the compliment of linking to my post. I’m SO impressed that you have written TWO blog posts today – you go BB 😀 I look forward to reading more from you. There just wasn’t enough hours in the day today, was there?!
